Ikarian Centre - Greek language courses in Greece - 13/01/2008
Year-round the Ikarian Centre offers Greek language courses for non-native speakers in Greece and special parallel courses for Greeks who are learning a foreign language and foreigners who are learning Greek.
1) New - Greek language course near Athens (March – April 2008 & Catholic Easter)
Afternoon Greek language courses for foreigners in Krioneri Korinthias, a picturesque agricultural village in North - East Peloponnese. Although the village is quiet and small, it is only 1,5 hours from the centre of Athens and 2 hours from the Athens International Airport by the new, high-speed train (proastiakos). In addition to the centre of Athens students can visit: Mycenaes (45 min), Corinthus (30 min), Epidaurus (1 hour) and Nemea (30 min). For more information visit: www.greekingreece.gr/courses
2) Greek language courses in Ikaria (May– October 2008):
Afternoon & intensive courses have taken place from Easter to October each year since 1995.For more information visit: www.greekingreece.gr/courses/
In these courses, students will improve their Greek language skills as they learn more about the country and its people. The Centre's aim is to transform each course into a cultural experience, by offering a variety of guided activities (interviews, projects, lectures, pair work, etc.) that put students in touch with the local Greek community.
